PROJECT DETAILS:

After The JBG Companies renewed its leases with GSA on two of its most prestigious Washington, D.C. properties – 800 K St. NW and 801 I St. NW - the company turned to Commercial Window Shield to handle security window film installation mandated in the lease renewal language.

The buildings, known as Techworld, are located in the heart of the nation’s capitol. Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, FEMA and the Veterans Administration have offices at Techworld, elevating the importance of the complex.  Security film is required on the windows in which these agencies are housed, but JBG was concerned that the film would not match the look of the other windows in the building, where film is not required.

The solution? Commercial Window Shield encouraged JBG to install a matching solar reflective film on the other windows.  This film, in addition to providing a uniform appearance to both buildings, will provide JBG with substantial energy savings at Techworld which, over a surprisingly brief period, will yield an attractive payback to the company.
