JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – When the city of Jacksonville wanted to protect the windows on the University of Florida & Shands Medical Center, it selected Commercial Window Shield to install fragment retention film.

The medical center cares for critically-ill patients and is one of the most important health care facilities in the Southeast.  The city received a Homeland Security grant to fund the project. Window protection was deemed important for both security and weather-related issues, as the hospital is located in a hurricane belt.

ABERDEEN, Md. – The U.S. Army has selected Commercial Window Shield for a security film installation project at the Aberdeen Proving Ground.

The project calls for the company to install 8-mil clear fragment retention film using the Dow 995 wet glaze attachment system to a training facility at the base.

The U.S. Department of Defense developed the project specifications. Commercial Window Shield’s installation plan has been approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

FORT WORTH, Texas – When Tim Kraftson of Fort Construction was looking for a company to install GSA-mandated security window film on a Fort Worth building, he struggled for three months to find the right firm.  Much of that time was spent with an Atlanta-based window film installation company which, it turned out, did not have the expertise with the frame attachment systems called for in the project specifications.  Nor did the company offer Kraftson any guidance on how to handle the fragment retention film installations – an area in which he had little experience....

EGG HARBOR CITY, N.J. – When Commercial Window Shield installers turned up at  a building owned by Genesis Financial Group in Egg Harbor City, N.J. to install GSA-mandated security window film, they were confronted with an unexpected dilemma.
