ARLINGTON, Va. – HITT Contracting has hired Commercial Window Shield to install solar security film on a Crystal City building for a high-profile federal government agency.
 
Due to security protocol, a number of specific details on the project can’t be released. 
 
Commercial Window Shield will install 8-mil tinted security film on 45,000 sq. ft. of glass covering all 15 floors of the building and a partial floor of a nearby building, which houses another tenant.

WASHINGTON – Vornado/Charles E. Smith has selected Commercial Window Shield for a security window film installation project on a historic building in the nation’s capitol.

The project, at the Bowen Building, two blocks from the White House at the corner of Eye and 15th streets, calls for the installation of 7-mil clear film on 699 windows.  GSA recently signed a lease with Vornado for the building’s tenant, the U.S. Department of Treasury, triggering a security upgrade requirement that included window protection.

HYATTSVILLE, Md.  – Under a tight deadline, Commercial Window Shield has completed a security window film project at the National Center for Health Statistics headquarters in suburban Washington, D.C. in half the planned time. 
 
The window protection project was part of a full build-out of the building, so Commercial Window Shield installers worked in conjunction with other contractors to develop an efficient schedule. The project deadline was 20 days. Commercial Window Shield completed the work in 10.

WASHINGTON – Commercial Window Shield is completing a second project in three years at a downtown Washington building four doors from the White House.

The project, at 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., is the result of the building’s largest tenant, the U.S. Treasury Department, adding office space.
